Research Interests

My research field is photonics, quantum optics and quantum information.  We look at optics from a quantum point of view.  Immersed in the lasers, optics, opto-electronics and feedback control loops, etc., I am amazed seeing and exploring the quantum aspects of light. We focus on using light to build the cluster state, which is a particular type of highly entangled quantum state that is very useful and under high demand for quantum information and quantum computing. Our project involves building cluster states from the optical frequency comb of a single optical parametric oscillator, a method that is extremely compact and efficient. The goal is faster, higher, and stronger (faster to obtain, higher dimension of cluster states and stronger entanglement).
